Eric Cantor has led the charge to thwart everything our President has tried to accomplish to restore the economy. Cantor has worked to protect millionaires and billionaires at the expense of the middle class and the working poor. Please join us in working to support the Democratic Candidate for Congress. Cantor's got to go. Let's make it happen. We also want to make sure that Tim Kaine is elected to the Senate. It appears that Kaine will be our Democratic candidate running against George Allen. Please join us to make sure Virginia isn't represented by Allen. Tim Kaine was a great Virginia governor and head of the Democratic National Committee. He will be a great Senator. Work with us to make sure that happens. Then there is the Gubernatorial race. Really, we can't let our state be headed by Ken Cuccinelli. It now appears Terry McAuliff will be our Democratic candidate for Governor. He is a brilliant man, with family and business ties to Virginia for the past 20 years. Terry is a successful businessman. He has solutions to the hard problems of the day such as energy efficiency and jobs. He will be a great candidate to work for. He will be a great leader in Virginia. And of course, we are excited about making sure that President Barack Obama is re-elected for another four year term. President Obama has seen us through the economic storm unleashed by the Bush administration. Jobs are finally turning around, along with the economy and Wall Street. President Obama has been brilliant on foreign policy. He accomplished the impossible with a health care reform bill and Wall Street Reform. While the Republicans have been coalesced around protecting millionaires and billionaires, President Obama has worked tirelessly for the American people. He has given us hope. It will be exciting to work for his re-election. To join the Hanover Democratic Committee, attend a meeting the second Saturday of the month (starting Jan. 14) at 10 a.m. at Ashland Coffee & Tea. You must be a registered voter in Hanover and you must sign a pledge to support Democratic candidates.
