This year’s fundraising event was one to mark down as an all-time favorite. John Suddarth and the New Moon Bash team did a fantastic job. The decor was amazing, the food was great, and of course, we still ran out of wine. More than 150 people attended, and we raised more than $15,000. These funds can be used by the Hanover Democratic Committee to support qualified Democratic candidates running for office in our county.
This bash had attendees from New Kent, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Louisa, Hanover and Stafford. Thirty years ago, Gordon Silver had the vision of what a quality event should be…
And, WOW! Senator Tim Kaine spoke to our hearts, and gave us hope that we really can make a difference, we can move forward. Pat Hunter-Jordan and John Suddarth gave inspiring speeches.
We are grateful for the heartfelt talks from Supervisor Faye Prichard and House candidate Rachel Levy. Many excellent candidates were in attendance. And, actually!!! That may have been Rachel’s best speech ever! The evening concluded with everyone in attendance joining the Blue Harmony Choir in the signing of America the Beautiful! Thanks again to the Blue Moon Committee on a job well done. View the video of the concluding song.
