Our next Hanover Democratic Committee meeting will be on Sunday, Oct. 13 and come prepared to work. This will be our first HDC Day of Action. instead of a traditional meeting, we’ll be gathering starting at 1:00 p.m. at our regular spot in Ashland.
Here are the sample ballots that we will be hanging out for the 2024 elections. They are similar except for differences in the congressional race, with Leslie Mehta in the 1st District and Gloria Tinsley Witt in the 5th District.
Read the fine print. Democrats and Republicans are both guilty of dubious tactics when it comes to fundraising. The money you give in response to a desperate plea might not be going where you intend it to go.
Our next meeting of the Hanover Democratic Committee comes as we are getting into full swing for the 2024 campaign. The meeting will be at 4 p.m. on Sept. 8 at Around the Table, 155 Junction Drive, Ashland. Our featured speaker will be Gloria Witt. She is our party’s nominee in the 5th Congressional District race. The 5th District includes several precincts in Western Hanover and extends down U.S. 29 through Charlottesville, Lynchburg and Danville.
