Our next monthly meeting of the Hanover Democratic Committee will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, at our usual spot, Around the Table in Ashland (Rose’s Shopping Center).
For the meeting, we will have our usual updates plus a presentation by Kelsey and Jessie Davis-Lee, leaders of the new Central Virginia Indivisible group. This group is intended for people who are looking for a way to start taking action to resist the Trump and GOP agenda and fight for progressive policies. Indivisible is a larger, national movement; this is just one chapter in the Central Virginia area.
Following the meeting at 6 p.m., Central Virginia Indivisible will be hosting a free screening of the documentary “Bad Faith” about white Christian nationalism and its effects on our democracy. It will be at the Ashland Theatre at 205 England St. in Ashland. A meet and greet starts at 6, the screening starts at 6:30, and a discussion will follow. Concessions will be available for purchase.
