Edwin Santana was born in Florida and grew up in a small town in Maine. Edwin received his Bachelor’s Degree from the Maine Maritime Academy, where he also did ROTC training to become a Marine Officer.
Edwin first came to Virginia as part of his officer’s training at Quantico Marine Corps Base. He was then stationed at Camp Pendleton (CA) and returned back to Quantico (with a deployment to Oman).
Edwin served as Ground Supply Officer, charged with the fiscal and physical accountability of all weapons and equipment, as well as the maintenance and execution of their unit’s budget. Edwin’s wife Heather is also a Marine, stationed at Quantico.
Edwin and Heather are Virginian’s by choice – and their families have joined them in the area. They live in Stafford County, with their son and daughter.
Since leaving active duty, Edwin has been Project Lead on multiple federal contracts at an electrical engineering and construction company in Northern Virginia.
Edwin has always been active in his community. He has coached youth basketball, served as a Big Brother and was a Chaplain Assistant for Marine Recruits.
Edwin wants to continue to serve our country, as he has been his entire career, as the next Member of Congress from Virginia’s 1st Congressional District.
