Women's Coffee

Democratic Women's Coffee - Monthly Gathering for Democratic and Like-minded Women

Jane Lux will be our hostess for our June Hanover Democratic Women's Coffee on Tuesday, June 29, an evening coffee this time. Jane will welcome us at 7 p.m. to her home at 11253 Silverstone Drive (in the Summerset subdivision, located off Sliding Hill Road), Mechanicsville, VA 23116.

Join us for good, in-person fellowship with old and new friends as we enjoy refreshments and catch up with Democratic news. In an abundance of care, all attendees are asked to be fully vaccinated.

Our Women's Coffees are for bringing Democratic women from all parts of Hanover together in an informal way for energizing fellowship with each other. They're great for socializing and forming strong relationships to better help elect Democratic candidates and promote our Democratic ideals locally and nationally. The Coffee caucus is a group for all ages that meets monthly, sometimes during the day and sometimes during the evening, at the homes of volunteer hostesses at different locations around the county. We have no formal memberships or fees.

New friends are always welcome.

To RSVP or for more information, contact Diane Neergaard at daneergaard@comcast.net or 804-304-1951.

OCTOBER DEMOCRATIC WOMEN'S COFFEE - STAY TUNED FOR DATE

All Democratic Women Are Welcome!

We'll be holding our next Hanover Democratic Women's Zoom Coffee in mid-October, so be looking for more information on that soon. As we head into the last stretch of this most critical election ever, it's good to take a little time for energizing fellowship with other Democratic Women. Come to learn, come to talk.

Let's take inspiration from our beloved "Notorious RBG" to continue to work to preserve our democracy. We can still learn about ways to help turn out our Democratic voters and actions we can take right up through Election Day.

There's plenty of room for a really big group at these virtual coffees, so everybody, please join us and please encourage like-minded friends and neighbors to "zoom" with us, too.

For more information contact Diane Neergaard at daneergaard@comcast.net or 804-304-1951.

SEPTEMBER VIRTUAL COFFEE - DATE TO COME

It was another great turnout of enthusiastic Democratic women (and a few men) who gathered by computer and phone for last month's Zoom Coffee. Conversation flowed easily and we learned more about candidates and ways each of us can help with getting out the vote.

We'll be holding our next Virtual Coffee in late September, so be looking for more information on that. There's plenty of room for a really big group on Zoom so everybody come on for the stimulating fellowship we enjoy with like-minded women.

It's always wonderful to see and talk with old friends and to welcome some new friends.

We're skipping our October Democratic Women's Coffee this year since so many of us are spending a lot of time working to help elect our great slate of Hanover candidates in the fast-approaching elections.

So here's the challenge, Hanover Democratic Women: If you're already working, cheers to you -- and keep up the good work. And if you haven't gotten involved with helping any of our candidates, jump in now to volunteer to canvass or drive canvassers in rural areas, call Democratic voters from call lists, work on postcard writing or addressing, or write a check to help a candidate's expenses... Let's make this the Year of Women Volunteers in Hanover.
