Please join us for our last monthly meeting before the November election at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12 at The Gathering Place at RVA Around the Table, 155 Junction Drive in Ashland. Our featured speaker will be Prof. Lauren C. Bell, James L. Miller Professor of Political Science and Associate Provost and Dean of Academic Affairs at Randolph-Macon College.
Prof. Bell will give us a preview of the upcoming US Supreme Court term, which we know will be another one with some very important decisions. We will get campaign activities and committee updates about what we plan to do on Election Day to support our statewide candidates and our House candidates Andrew Ward (HD-60) and Scott Konopasek (HD-59).
We will not be having a monthly meeting in November. We are planning a post-election celebration at the home of Mike and Wendy Brooks from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15. More information at our Oct. 12 meeting.
