The Gubernatorial race: we can’t let our state be governed by Ken Cuccinelli. Terry McAuliff will be our Democratic candidate for Governor. McAulff is a brilliant businessman with family and business ties to Virginia that span over 20 years. Terry possesses solutions to the hard problems of the day: energy efficiency and jobs. He will be a great candidate to work for and a great governor of Virginia!
And, of course, we are excited that President Barack Obama was re-elected for another four year term. President Obama has seen us through the economic storm unleashed by the Bush administration. Jobs are finally turning around along with the economy and Wall Street. President Obama has been brilliant on foreign policy. He accomplished the impossible with health care reforms and Wall Street reforms. While the Republicans have coalesced around protecting millionaires and billionaires, President Obama has worked tirelessly for the American people. He has given us hope.
To join the Hanover Democratic Committee, attend a meeting the second Saturday of every month (starting Jan. 14, 10 a.m.) at Ashland Coffee & Tea.
