We’ve had another record month of engagement from Democratic voters in Hanover! We’ve been canvassing, phone banking, postcarding, poll greeting, and, finally, voting. I did some research and:
In 2016, Hanover voted 31.1.% for the Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
In 2017, Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Northam captured 34.2% of the vote in Hanover, and won.
In 2020, Democratic Presidential Candidate and current President Joe Biden captured 35.8% of the vote in Hanover, and won.
We have slowly but surely been shifting the needle here in Hanover. Given the energy and the engagement I am witnessing and hearing first hand (and the number of Hanover Independents and Hanover Republicans telling me they plan to vote Democratic this year), I believe with continued hard work, we Democrats can capture more than 36% of the vote in our county this year. he question is: How much more? Can we capture 38%? 40%? Over 40%? I think we can win over 40%. In fact, with hard work and all hands on deck, I know we can. So, let’s knock doors, let’s make phone calls, let’s write postcards, let’s put up and distribute signs, let’s greet our voters at the polls, let’s get our sample ballots into the hands of our voters, and let’s ALL vote early.
Our Committee especially needs outside poll greeters and observers:

Thank you to our long-time members for all you’ve built and to our current members for all you do, and will do, to make positive change, and promote democracy that includes and represents all of us, no matter who we are or how we vote.
