What a great Election Day (and the run-up to Election Day), thanks to all of our poll greeters at Early Voting. As Democrats, we have regained control of state government with impressive victories by Abigail Spanberger for governor, Ghazala Hashmi for lieutenant governor and Jay Jones for attorney general. There will be much talk and discussion to follow but for now, let’s concentrate on the results below. We have a couple of takeaways.
1-The heavily developing area around Rutland and Honey Meadows is proving to be a competitive area and it might be good to identify ways to get our committee even more active there (meetings or gatherings).
2-We still have a long way to go in rural parts of the county but we are encouraged by the gains made from 2023 to 2025. Our percentages for our great House candidates grew slightly from 2023 to 2025.
For now, here are the stats from VPAP.org. Think about them and enjoy one of the greatest Democratic victories in Virginia and one that will serve as a harbinger for 2026 IF we continue to put in the work.
