Our HDC presence on April 27 at Ashland Train Day was a big success. Thousands of people were in attendance. We had lots of volunteers who helped man our booth and spread the work to Train Day enthusiasts about electing Democrats in Hanover County, and supporting President Biden, Vice President Harris, U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine, and our Democratic Congressional candidates representing Hanover in the First and Fifth Congressional Districts in November.
Having one-on-one conversations, whether door knocking, phone banking, at festivals, or at neighborhood events with fellow citizens is the way to build our party and spread the Democratic message.
The turnout and response was very impressive and gave us reason to be even more optimistic as long as we put in the hard work to elect our candidates.
